DIALOGUE 2 – LA TABLE ALAÏA X WE ARE ONA

The connection between Alaïa and the art of hosting has deep historical roots. Since the early days of the Maison, Azzedine Alaïa cherished creating circles of friends around his tables. With Pieter Mulier, who shares the same sense of conviviality, this tradition continues and is even reinvented today.

Alaïa is pleased to present its second Dialogue with We Are Ona, “La Table Alaïa” which explores the intersection of fashion, food, and hospitality. This new series of intimate dinners, which will take place in various cities, begins with an exclusive event at the Alaïa flagship store at 5 rue de Marignan, in Paris.

In keeping with the idea of dialogues, each dinner will be hosted by a different personality who will work alongside a renowned chef to execute a signature menu. This exchange between the host’s culinary tastes and the chef’s vision embodies the essence of the series, which will continue to travel globally.

Each dinner will feature custom furniture and tableware, making the dining experience unique, imbued with the Maison’s aesthetics. A lasting echo of the very core of Alaïa, which has always been an ‘open house.’

On October 15th, 2024, Chef Jules de Saint Cyr and the Maison’s Creative Director, Pieter Mulier, hosted the inaugural Parisian dinner of “La Table Alaïa” by We Are Ona. This intimate evening, where Mulier and de Saint Cyr collaborated on a signature menu, celebrated the essence of gathering friends of Alaïa from different backgrounds around a table, fostering discussions and connections—the very spirit of the Maison.

Following the invitation-only dinner, the event was open to the public for the two following days.
